How it works

These wireless countertops are smart enough to distinguish between the appliancesplaced upon them. The transmitters would not produce any charge or heat for devices that are not equipped with smart receivers. These smart devices can communicate with the transmitter to specify what it needs so that the transmitter can provide accordingly. The difference is that whereas the Qi standard can only produce 14 watts of maximum power, the Ki kitchen standard can produce 2.2 Kilowatts (2000 watts) of maximum power. The Ki kitchen standard can produce power in various ranges according to the need of the appliance, underneath the maximum power of 2.2 kWs.
